Overall, a great toy. My son really began to enjoy this when he was about 2 months old. As everyone else says, the music is actually really nice–better than any of the other toys we have. But the best thing about it is the lights…something about the way they dance around, it always makes my little one smile. In fact, whenever we want to take pictures of him smiling, we would hold it behind the camera to get big grins from him. The only thing I would change about it would be to make the caterpillar handle a little smaller. He is four months old now, and still cant hold onto it. I am a little concerned that by the time he’s old enough to hold it, he won’t be so interested.
Many baby music products are frankly, really annoying and dumbed down. When I first got this for my daughter, she was about 9 mos old and not that interested. So I attached it to her stroller and she then got into the habit of listening to it as we headed out or if she got tired and needed something comforting. The choices of songs are pretty nice and the quality is not bad for a baby toy. I wish they had additional versions with even more songs because now it is a staple for my now 1 year old daughter who just smiles whenever it plays the songs. This was a solid buy and I’m so happy we tried it!
This is a terrific toy… highly recommend it! My daughter got it for her 1st birthday and it’s great. Has a volume control - off, low, high - that is difficult enough that she doesn’t bother switching it, but makes it easy for me to decide if I want it loud of soft. The button to press to make it play or change the tune is large and easy to press… she loves making it sing. The lights flash different colors to the beat of the song. The little handle is wonderful, because I can secure it to her stroller, car seat, or shopping cart with plastic links (another great invention!) and she won’t loose it if she drops it. Love it, love it, love it!!
